Our restaurant philosophy is to set off the Veronese area and all its wonderful products, “our homemade cooking” : a pleasure for eyes and particularly appetizing for your palate.
Since when Roberto, my father, started the adventure which has marked out our family life, opening the first restaurant in the sixties, our “trattoria” has become an unavoidable stop for all who want to enjoy the important Italian food tradition.
In our restaurant you will find style, atmophere and culture which have made Veneto and particularly Verona
an unforgettable place, loved by the most important artists of any time; but above all you will meet warmth and friendliness of our region people.
During summer nights, when the Arena magic permeates all town, we are open until 4.00 a.m. to welcome artists and audience of the Opera; so it is not unusual to have dinner near Palcido Domingo, José Carreras, Leo Nuccio or Zubin Meta. Many guests has honoured our dinner table during the twenty years life of our restaurant: Franco Zeffirelli, Bruce Springsteen, Whoopi Goldberg, Antonello Venditti, Riccardo Cocciante, Beppe Grillo, Christian De Sica, Tinto Brass and many others more or less famous but equally important to us and dear to our hearts.
Famous Gourmets describe our cooking "intelligent, tasty, rich, “to lick one’s lips”: “a mummy and granny’s way of cooking”. We simply offer with refinement and fancy the typical recipes of our region and our tradition. And we do it with all our hearts, passion and professionalism.
Our wine-list is for our restaurant a source of pride. It is actually qualitatively and quantitavely very rich with more than 1200 labels of the best Veronese and Italian wines. Besides we have a particular selection of Château de Bordeaux premier cru classé.
A great importance is given to the rich dessert list: you will find the greedy way to whet and satisfy your palate unbridled passions.
